I am very fortunate to have architectural clients that produce such wonderful work! Last year, I photographed the Mathew’s residence in Shevlin Commons, here in Bend Oregon for clients, Kirsti Wolfe Designs, Scott Gilbride Architect, Dansky Handcrafted, and Greg Vendrame Construction. It was recently published twice in Trends Magazine, once seen below, and once in my last blog post. This home is not just beautifully photogenic (and it is), it is quality and style through and through. This home is modern elegance with a mountain view and I thoroughly enjoyed photographing it. The pleasure and honor to be published in Trends because of this home is all mine!
Trends Magazine recently profiled a home I photographed here in Bend, Oregon in Shevlin Commons. With amazing talent such as Kirsti Wolfe Designs, Scott Gilbride Architecture, Greg Vendrame Construction, Dansky Handcrafted, Milo’s Metal Works and Classic Wood Accents, this home shines with modern elegance! (Yes, that was one big shout out to the wonderful crews who made this room possible). I was lucky to be hired as the photographer to capture this room’s overall architecture and appeal with elements such as multiple pocket doors, a captain’s bed, built in custom library, and volcanic metal fireplace. Here is the tearsheet from the magazine.

I have been so fortunate to have some amazingly talented clients. Recently, I have worked a lot with Kirsti Wolfe Designs and her amazing team of experts (Scott Gilbride Architecture, Greg Vendrame Construction, etc) on some gorgeous custom homes. This last home is no exception. In fact, this beautifully crafted, modern home is nestled in the backyard of the Cascade Mountains in Shevlin Commons and is flawless from head to toe.
Because this home has so many custom features, from the Sub-Zero Refrigerator designed by Kirsti Wolfe to the hood of the stove by Milo Art, to the custom built-in cabinetry and bathroom vanities by Gabe Dansky Handcrafted (just to name a few), I photographed almost every seam of the house. (exteriors to come in Spring). Here are a few images to give you a good feel of the house and beautiful nature of the craftsmanship I feel so lucky to be apart of. Enjoy!
Well, admittedly, I have slacked a bit on blogging my latest projects. I apologize to all my readers who have sat on the edges of their seats ( I know you must be out there, somewhere ). To ring in the New Year, I have decided to be a more diligent “Blogger” and hopefully be a resource for those looking to hire an experienced professional photographer.
In a world where buying a digital camera *allows* (and I use that word lightly) one to claim to be a professional photographer, as a client, being aware of the quality you are looking for and the final result you wish to attain is key. Hopefully, by posting some images and resources, this blog will be an important guide in helping make that (somewhat difficult) choice in choosing the right photographer and make your business, inevitably, look better, with an end goal of reaching your target clients a bit easier for you.
To end this post, I wanted to post two images from a recent architectural photo shoot for one of my very favorite clients, Kirsti Wolfe Designs at a residence in Pronghorn, Bend, Oregon. She wanted the images to showcase the beautiful structural and interior design of the kitchen, including her custom designed Sub Zero refrigerator. Absolutely Remarkable!
One of my very favorite clients, Kirsti Wolfe Designs, recently hired me to photograph a completed project of hers in North Rim, Bend, Oregon. The master bathroom was a focal point of the photo shoot, so I thought I’d show it off! With a gorgeous soaking tub as the main focal point, and amazing details all around the room, it was a pleasure to photograph! Kirsti’s work is unmatched in quality and I am amazed every time I step into one of the homes she has designed.
Well, it only took a few months to wait for Central Oregon’s weather to get a great evening shot of the Gesme’s Residence in Pronghorn…. but so worth the wait. I shot the interior of this home a while back for architectural designer Kirsti Wolfe, and architect Scott Gilbride, both fantastic in their field (see previous post Pronghorn Residence) and was excited to get some great exterior images for them. I met with the builder of the home Greg Vendrame in Pronghorn to do this evening shoot and had a great time exposing for their attention to detail and remarkable quality. Altogether, this team of professionals is great at what they do and the proof is in the pudding as they say! Take a look!
I love shooting exteriors of homes! I don’t know what it is, maybe the time of day, maybe the boom lifting me 30ft in the air, or the warm glow coming from the inside of the house, but I just love to see a home’s exterior in all its glory! This house in particular, if you remember my last post, was a beautifully built, contemporary style home in the heart of Black Butte Ranch! Kirsti Wolfe and her team of experts hired me to photograph this home for their portfolios and marketing collateral. Here are the exteriors…
I had the pleasure of photographing a residence in Black Butte Ranch recently for Kirsti Wolfe Designs. It goes without saying that with Kirsti Wolfe designing a home, it will be absolutely beautiful, but this one was just my style! The Atkins Residence is a contemporary home in the heart of the thick forest of Black Butte. With mountain views and custom amenities from head to toe, I was really hoping Len and Karen Atkins would adopt me to move in! Here are a few highlights of my time photographing their home.
