Well, it only took a few months to wait for Central Oregon’s weather to get a great evening shot of the Gesme’s Residence in Pronghorn…. but so worth the wait. I shot the interior of this home a while back for architectural designer Kirsti Wolfe, and architect Scott Gilbride, both fantastic in their field (see previous post Pronghorn Residence) and was excited to get some great exterior images for them. I met with the builder of the home Greg Vendrame in Pronghorn to do this evening shoot and had a great time exposing for their attention to detail and remarkable quality. Altogether, this team of professionals is great at what they do and the proof is in the pudding as they say! Take a look!
I recently finished a photography project with restaurant and bar, 900 Wall in Bend, Oregon. Last year, 900 Wall replaced the infamous Merenda Restaurant and needed new imagery for advertising purposes. The wonderful ladies of The Marketing Department contacted me to discuss the restaurant’s needs, and right away, knew it would be a fun project. If you haven’t been to 900 Wall before, the staff and ambiance prides itself on an amazing bar, a comfortable and inviting atmosphere, and of course, their incredible always-evolving cuisine, using fresh, local produce.
The goals of their photography needs were to capture the atmosphere of the restaurant as well as showcasing some of their food and drinks. We wanted to maintain a feeling of warmth throughout all the imagery as well. Below are a few examples of the images we photographed for 900 Wall. I hope you enjoy!!

I was recently hired to go to Norway to be a co-host of a food/travel TV show and to photograph the food and culture of the Norwegian Cuisine. I came away with some great photos that incorporate the lifestyle and passion behind the chefs and dining experience. Here is just a sneak peak at some of my favorites. The trip ranged from visiting some of the top chefs in Norway and their restaurants to going to the fish market or seeing a chef’s eye’s light up as they smell the freshly picked mushrooms from a nearby mountainside. (picture shown). The last picture shown is of a Sami man (indigenous Norwegian people) cook us Reindeer stew right over an open fire and sitting on reindeer skin. If I wasn’t there myself, I’d think it was unbelievable! For the show, my husband and I were also taken around the country just like tourists to see the culture and picturesque scenery of beautiful Norway. What an awesome experience!
If you still haven’t been to Backporch Coffee Roasters‘ new location, I’m not sure where you’ve been… it’s beautiful. I’m calling it my second home these days, as I love to sip my latte’ while emailing, writing proposal or even blogging. I was hired to photograph images for their advertising collateral, showcasing their snazzy new spot and details such as Ruby, their new baby, the La Marzocco espresso machine. Yes, you heard me, La Marzocco to all you coffee “snobs”… oops…connoisseurs out there.
I wanted to compliment the modern interior of Backporch Coffee with a clean and simple approach to the imagery, which isn’t hard since, let’s face it, that’s pretty much what my photography leans toward anyway. I used mostly all natural lighting for their imagery and focused on clean lines and off-set composition. Here are a few of the images.
